BEGINNINGS
Marketing is both an art and science—a fact deeply ingrained in me: my mother is an artist and a musician with perfect pitch and my father holds a PhD in inorganic chemistry. From this starting point, I demonstrate a range of talents from the creative, such as directing the look and feel of a web site, to the quantitative, such as analyzing campaign performance.
LIFE
Born on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, I grew up in Bloomington, IL. After spending the early years of my career in San Francisco, I relocated to Chicago where I lived for over 20 years.
In Chicago, I sought out business school at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business for quantitative coursework to complement my liberal arts education received at Miami University located in Oxford, OH.
In business school, I started running. I wouldn’t say that I enjoy running—I enjoy having run. Kind of like Dorothy Parker who has been quoted saying that she didn’t like to write, she liked having written. I’ve done one marathon and a bunch of half-marathons so far. One of my favorites was Lululemon’s Seawheeze half-marathon in Vancouver.
In Chicago, we often made the drive to spend time in Winter Park, CO. A 3 perfect days in Denver article and subsequent trip, convinced us to move to Denver. We made the move in March of 2020 and we love that our drive to Winter Park is now 90 minutes versus 17 hours. My husband and I are getting the band back together. During the pandemic, we held virtual concerts for friends. We’re getting back out to play in 2024.
